This recommends the smallest standard panel covering your selections. It is a guide only — your employer or program determines the exact panel.
How panels are chosen
A 5-panel covers the five SAMHSA drugs (THC, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP). A 10-panel adds common prescription and expanded drugs; a 12-panel widens that further. The DOT panel is a 5-panel run under strict federal procedures. Drugs no standard cup includes — fentanyl, synthetic cannabinoids, designer benzodiazepines — need an expanded or specialised assay.
